The average lifespan of solar panels is 25-30 years and although it degrades in terms of efficiency after this period, it is still capable of powering homes with lower electricity needs and smaller spaces. This becomes useful in smaller homes in developing countries where they have lower electricity needs. Other remote parts of some developing countries where they are not connected to the national electricity grid are benefitting from solar panel reuse.

We harness the solar technology and the energy produced generate electricity, providing a lighting system or comfortable interior environment. By redesigning the panels into other resources, the solar panels get a second life generating clean energy at a different location. 

Once we've exhausted the options of reducing and reusing the panels, its then time to properly and efficiently disposed off the panels so they don.t end up in landfills. The process of solar panel recycling initially starts with separating the junction box and the frame and this process recovers the copper and aluminium which are 100% reusable so nothing goes to waste.
